Colours in the air

From May to August, European Bee-eaters bring Mediterranean colour to the Vrsac area, nesting in colonies in loess and sandy cliffs. Their aerial hunting and social behaviour make them perfect subjects for flight shots and storytelling frames. Well-placed tents and respectful distance let photographers work a full series of portraits, take-offs and in-flight moments.

Observed in hides: Summer in tents.
Seasons of observation: Late spring, Early summer.
Probability observed: High.
