The miniature drummer

Tiny but tenacious, the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker is the smallest member of its family in Europe. Often heard before seen, this elusive drummer is a delight for those patient enough to catch a glimpse. Though it rarely visits our hides directly, it frequents nearby areas—offering rewarding moments for alert photographers.
