Blackcap
(Sylvia atricapilla)
The woodland singer
Blackcaps are widespread in the Vrsac Mountains from March to October, filling the understory with rich, varied song. They visit our pools regularly, especially in spring and early autumn, weaving in and out of the foliage. Their subtle greys and caps combine beautifully with natural perches and gentle backgrounds for classic forest portraits.
Observed in hides: Malo Srediste Waterhole, CK waterhole.
Seasons of observation: Spring and summer.
Probability observed: Medium.
