Common Kestrel
(Falco tinnunculus)
The hovering hunter
Common Kestrels are year-round residents in the Vrsac Mountains and wider lowlands, hunting over fields, edges and hillsides. From our raptor viewpoints they can often be seen hanging in the wind or gliding past with effortless control. For photographers, they offer repeated chances at elegant flight shots against rolling landscapes.
Observed in hides: In flight photography.
