Little Egret
(Egretta garzetta)
White ghost of the shallows
Little Egrets appear around Mali Vrsacki Rit and Labudovo Okno from May to August, moving quietly through the shallow water. Their pure white plumage, dark bill and yellow feet create clean, graphic images against soft reflections and reed colours. From low wetland hides they are perfect subjects for elegant portraits and small hunting sequences.
Observed from Swan’s shaft setups.
Seasons of observation: Year round.
Probability observed: High.
