Golden note on the hillside

Yellowhammers add a flash of gold to the mixed farmland and scrub around the Vrsac Mountains. They are present all year, though not at every site, and appear only sporadically at our hides. When they do drop in, the combination of yellow plumage and soft backgrounds gives wonderfully warm portraits.
